Math Help

Multiplication and Division Facts for the Whole-to-Part, Visual Learner, developed by Chris L. Woodin, Ed. M., provides students with a way to store, access, and communicate information about multiplication and division facts. The methodology presented supports various learning style and culminates in the ability to learn, compare, and express math facts in an accurate and fluent manner. Whole-to-part processing models provide structure that can compensate for deficits in working memory, expressive language mechanisms, and executive function. Pictures or images of familiar things are used to present a great deal of information within a bundled package or gestalt. Motor memory and semantic memory associations are used for ease of retrieval and to link new information to related, familiar information.
